Just as a ship’s Main Deck extends from bow to stern, PTA’s Main Deck extends from front to back of the building. The undulating shape of the 16-meter-high roof symbolizes the connection between land and water and the enormous wooden beams in the interior are a reminder of the shipbuilding tradition. The transparency of the building and the large amount of glass on the Main Deck ensure natural daylight with beautiful light in all seasons.
The Main deck will be the center of the congress, also is the largest deck located on the first floor in the terminal. The perfect location for a plenary session of up to 1250 guests. Equipped with a lot of rigging point the use of the deck is very flexible. It is possible the only use a part of the deck for the plenary session and, for example, the other half for stands, demos or catering. The glass roof and high ceiling of at least 9 meters ensure a spacious and open feeling.
